	For More Information or simply to comment, please click here	My name is Kathy Bassett, and among my many hobbies, I am a Wild Life Artist... I have had no art training, only an eye for detail and my trusty 35mm camera with a 500mm lens.
I have sold my paintings from coast to coast, and you can find my photographic note cards in small shops around the state of Colorado.  I work mostly with oils, but I also do pencil drawings.  I  paint on many things, from canvas to sawblades.  If you look closely enough, you will see a small arrowhead hidden in each canvas oil painting I do.  Here are some of my artistic acheivements:
First Place (professional division) in the Moffat County Arts and Humanities Art Contest. Tenth Place in the COLORADO DUCKS UNLIMITED Stamp Contest. My artwork has been displayed for public viewing in the auditorium of the Department of the Interior before a national audience and the Washington Press Corps for the FEDERAL DUCK STAMP contest. Chosen as ARTIST OF THE MONTH at the Battlement Mesa Arts and Recreation Department in Parahcute, Colorado. Twice placed among the top 40 finalists in the WYOMING CONSERVATION STAMP COMPETITION.
Besides painting, some of my other hobbies include sewing, flower gardening and doll collecting.   Also, I have a ceramic kiln and over 300 molds. Thank you for stopping by my virtual studio, and please come again!
